Black Friday

Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone!

Yesterday was a great day. I worked a shift from 10-5 and at first it was rather busy. It wasn't the people who forgot thanksgiving stuff that was purchasing, but it was people who were getting our black friday deals. ( I work at CVS if you're wondering) Why would someone go out on thanksgiving to get black friday deals? Crazy nuts. Well, by 2pm it had died down rather quickly, with about 2 customers every 10 min. I was sooo ready to jump out of there at 5pm.

When it was my time to leave, I dropped by Perkins to pick up a pumpkin pie before going home. Surprisingly there were a lot of people there. Those people who didn't want to bother with making a bunch of meals at their home or those elderly people who didn't have thanksgiving to share with anyone else but their spouse. I'm thankful to have a family to share the holidays with.

I went home and oh my goodness..SO MUCH FOOD AND THEY ALL SMELL DELISH! There was seriously so much food that I didn't even know how we could eat all this, seeing as how we're a family of 7 people.

We had dinner, had some laughs and giggles, and even watched the "Charlie bit me" video at the dinner table. Once we finished, I was ready for my nap, but nope! Taylor Swift's Thanksgiving special was on television at 8! It was fantastic. I love Taylor Swift :)

Right after the special, we decided to put up and decorate our Christmas tree.

I don't think the best thing about Black Friday is the shopping, but rather about eating the leftovers! Mmm! I'm actually doing that right now and I'm pretty sure the plate I'm having now is way bigger than the one I had on actual Thanksgiving day. ;)

"Tonight We're Having Sushi" Dunnies Premiere!

Here's my entry for the extravagant Almighty Dunny Show presented by Genuine Artikle in New York! I'm so excited to have been invited to be part of this show! There'll be hundreds of great artists featuring their amazing 3" dunnies! I really do wish I was in New York so that I could attend the show, so hopefully someone gets amazing pictures so I can see!

My design, "Tonight we're Having Sushi," features two custom dunnies, a bento box, and a pair of chopsticks (how could you eat without them?!)

Tonight's special is a Shrimp Sashimi and a simple but delightfully tasteful California Roll.

The bento box has a beautiful blossom floral lining as well as a soft velvet fabric that will support both sushis. The lid of the bento box also has a cushiony velvet fabric to secure your meal in its place.

These dunnies will be premiering at the Almighty Dunny Show and then afterwards, I will be taking up to 10 preorders for these guys! They will be exactly what you see on these pictures. I'll give you guys more details on that soon enough.

Busy but lazy days...

Today is my second day off in a row, then back to work! Yes, I work Thanksgiving morning :( Thats retail for ya. boo. Anyways, I woke up quite early today. 740am-ish to be exact (is that an oxymoron? if i said ish and exact in the same sentence? hmm) Figured I'd get a head start on checking things off my to-do list. Soo..I might not have done things that was mandatory or on the top of my priority list, BUT! I did learn how to cable stitch knit! Woo! Thanks youtube videos!

I don't know if you can really see it. My test yarn is horrible at featuring the beautiful cables haha. So my next task is to go to the crafts store and pick out a nice, soft, red yarn for a scarf!

Another thing I did today that I've been meaning to get to, is build another cheap light box for taking quick photos of my customs and whatever else. I tested a shot with one of my dog's toys.

(the most annoying dog toy ever. no stuffing, just a giant squeaker that she likes to play with at convenient times.....like when we're watching a movie T_T )

Alright Alright. In other news, I finished the dunny custom for GenuineArtikle's Almight Dunny Show! I'll post pictures up tonight :)
